OFRENDA

SaturDAY oct 31 st 7pm

An intimate evening of Oaxacan food, music, tradition, and remembrance.

Join us for a very special Día de Muertos Ofrenda celebration at La Cocina de Humo, where we’ll gather around the table to experience one of Oaxaca’s most meaningful traditions through its flavors, stories, and rituals.

The evening will be led by acclaimed chefs Thalía Barrios and Jesús Neftalí from “Levadura de Olla” and “La Cocina de Humo”, who will prepare a menu inspired by the foods traditionally enjoyed during Día de Muertos.

Together, we’ll enjoy Oaxacan hot chocolate and pan de muerto, tamales, black mole, and other dishes created especially for this celebration.

Throughout dinner, live music by Jazz Matías and Ehekatl Azizmendi will accompany the evening, creating an intimate atmosphere for a night dedicated to memory, community, and the traditions that make Día de Muertos in Oaxaca so extraordinary.

But the experience doesn’t end at the table.

After dinner, we’ll continue to Santa Cruz Xoxocotlán, where we’ll visit the cemetery and experience the extraordinary atmosphere of Día de Muertos as families gather to honor and remember their loved ones.

This is much more than a dinner. It is an opportunity to experience Día de Muertos through Oaxacan food, music, tradition, and community—an evening created to be remembered long after your visit to Oaxaca.
