Best way to walk around the downtown area and see the Mercado de Abastos, during this season the markets in Oaxaca are more colorful than usual with aromas of copal incense, chocolate, bread, roasted chillies, etc

This tour is a walking tour , around 10,000 steps , 5 to 6 miles. Not ideal for people with severe food restrictions or allergies , vegetarian options available, vegan options are very very limited.

Mezcal Tour with omar, oct 19, 22,26 and Nov 2 , 2025 .
Our mezcal tour is a great way to get out of the city for the day. On this particular day we will start the day with breakfast at the Traditional Tlacolula Market with grilled meats and goat barbacoa soup. We then head over to the agave fields in Matatlan , ( World capital of Mezcal ) for pulque recollection and tasting . We will visit two distilleries to learn about both methods of mezcal production , copper stills and claypottts , day ends with lunch at a distillery .

blind mezcal experience
with OMAR, oct 27, 28, 29 & 30 , 2025.
Let us guide you in this amazing and unique experience as we learn about mezcal using all of our senses , in a two hour session we will explore together the world of mezcal .

Full experience in a private and secure space in downtown Oaxaca, you will taste a variety of different agave plants in both methods of distillation ( copper stills and clay Potts ) you will use all of your senses to taste, smell, feel and enjoy Mezcal .
We will talk about all of the usages that local people have for Mezcal including medicinal and celebrations.

This activity is for people interested in the Mezcal culture and tasting, you will try up to 15 different types of Mezcal, taste some cooked agave plants, smell and feel the textures of the spirit , all of this with a blind fold .
This activity Is not for people under 18 years of age.
